and yet another graduation...

I completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning which was offered by my office for people like me who just completed their posgraduate degree then, dunno how to teach university students. At first, the course was to be one of the requirements to get confirmed, so I dutifully enroled myself. Then, after I went through two modules, my office announced that they no longer require that course to be a part of the confirmation criteria. So, I was frustrated at first, because I had spent my two weeks in a row attending, numerous assignments and two exams. I had to go through another 5 modules. But, dengan semangat yang tidak cepat putus asa (I'm too lazy to think how should I write this in English), I decided to finish the course.

So, last Friday night, I graduated with 3.61 CGPA. HAHAHAHAHA...boleh tahan jugak saya nih..I never got anything higher than 3.5 before this, not even for my bachelor's. 15 students (people like me lah) attended the graduation in Hilton. I was number 13 in the list and I was thinking, hmm..what an unlucky number.. A few days ago, I took my robe and my mortar board from CALM and the guy handed me my robe. I was shocked to see my robe was PINK!!!Despite of my nickname Woman in Pink, I have to admit that I don't really like that colour ON me. If it was soft pink, or dark pink, maybe can be accepted..but, this was a striking pink one! I've decided not to put up any pics of me wearing the robe :). 15 of us wore our robes that night, macam air bandung bergerak, we paraded into the hall with our colleagues and bosses staring us in awe..Well, that's what I felt.

It felt like a real convocation, just the environment is different because we actually know the people in the hall..I mean, REALLY know well. The big boss handed over our certs. The most embarassing thing happened to me. I forgot to pause and look to the camera men when I was on stage. I was about to take the certs away from the big boss after I shook his hand and move away, then the big boss told me this, "eh, eh..ambik gambar lok.". He didn't let go of the certs when he said this.hahahha...so, I turned and smiled at the camera men. I dunno how the pic will turn out..sigh...

After that, we all ate and the biggest award was handed over to a colleague from social sciences. She won the most outstanding online course with RM1, 000 prize for last semester. We ooooo...ed and aaa...ed when we heard she won that much. We didn't know there was money involved, hayah...should have known. I only used the system to put up my notes and notices. Have to learn more how to use the system. RM1 k involve...so, not bad what... Can be used to pay downpayment for an LV bag. hahahahahhahaha....

I hate traffic jam!

Last night, I drove back home quite late around 6.45pm. Traffic was okay along KS road until I reached BDC. I went in Sherip Masahor road (the one going to Hui Sing from BDC roundabout), I saw the two lanes packed with cars.EEkkkssss...First thing crossed my mind, accident kah? And so I stopped behind this red kenari. Cars moved very slow in front, so, it's either I use 1st gear or second gear. At this point, I cursed myself for buying manual car.My left leg hurts because of pressing the so very stiff clutch. Suddenly, I saw some decorated lorries coming out from a junction, about 10 cars in front. Wait a minute, what's this? a procession? in a RESIDENTIAL area??$%^&ing h*^&!It's weekday!everyone is rushing to get back home, don't people know about this?

I even saw some youngsters in their wushu T-shirts and karate pants dancing at the side of the road while holding up the paper dragon. Well, I thought it was made of paper, couldn't really see. Then the red kenari in front of me started to honk. The honk was so loud and so long, it was drowning the sound of my car stereo. Badan jak kecik.... And then, other cars started to honk. Right now, my car was like 200 meters from the Hui Sing roundabout. I was so tired because I just finished up marking my midterm papers in the office and the jam was getting on my nerves, so, I join them honking. I know it was stupid  to honk but, seriously, I was so tired and hungry and plus I HATE TRAFFIC JAM!!!

After about 15 minutes moving, then stopping and then move again, I finally reached the roundabout. To my surprise, there were more than 10 cars and lorries decorated and lined up along the road IN the roundabout. One lorry in particular, had three ladies dressed up like queens sitting behind it.Apa ni? Chinese beauty queens? The winner and the runner ups? Of all days....why on a weekday? Then some more, they stopped in the roundabout! So cars from all corners could not go into the roundabout because they blocked half of the road.

I reached home almost 8pm. sob...sob...Kuching people don't reach home at 8pm after work unless they're workaholic.

Sindy's wedding

Here comes the bride..te..te...tedaa...

Sindy got married on the 21 February 2009. Finally...someone from the family broke the 'single' curse. It's a stupid joke we always played around in the family.

The wedding was wonderful. It was bright and sunny, and the bride and bridesmaid were late for the church wedding. Blame it on the bridal owner.  She was late for almost an hour to do our make up. Oh yes, I was the bridesmaid. Thank goodness our make up turned out well. Dad was worried that the priest will be angry for our *lateness*.Well, at least we were fashionably late. *wink*

Everyone dressed beautifully and handsomely that day. My aunts wore kebaya nyonya and my cousins wore nice dresses.

My nephew and niece became the page boy and flower girl.

After the service, we took lots of pics. Me and Maria posed like this..

and this is the newly wed couple!

Mr & Mrs Sonny Ng

Okay, bigger picture plzzz...
That's better.

Til next post :)

Here comes Rambo...

Everybody knows Rambo.

But do you know this fella?

His name is Rambo, too. He's a very fierce fella. Watch out coz he bites..he bites towels, slippers, plants - whatever is in front of him. He's 6 months old today and yet his only 10 inches tall.

He lives with Lila in KS. Supposed to be a watch dog...sigh..he's adorable and small, I don't know whether he can do his job well. But he barks very loud and he eats like adult dogs. memang kecil-kecil cili padi.

I'm back...

Yes..I've been neglecting this space of mine for approximately 1 month. There are reasons to this..

One. didn't feel like writing...

Two. workload..hmm...who doesn't have?even housewives do.

Three. busy preparing for my sis' wedding.

Four. i need to pimp my blog before i write. i lost my previous setting (o-on's gonna kill me). so, this is my new design :) sikda apa-apa sebenarnya.heheheh... just changed my header only. took me half day, you know.hahahaha...so slow. i'm criticizing myself..

yes, that's about it..ok..moving along to my next entry.
